Laser Hair Removal

Laser or light energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin in hair follicles and converted to heat, diffusing to and injuring stem cells in the bulb and bulge. Effective hair reduction can only be achieved during the active growth phase and hair reduction is considered permanent when a significant amount of hair does not return for a period of time longer than the complete growth cycle. After a series of treatments, most hair is permanently removed. However, if hair does regrow, it will be finer and lighter than before. (Information from

 Yag Laser – Hair Removal

The Yag Laser contains an infrared laser that can selectively target microstructures such as hair follicles. It is very effective for lighter skin types and, because of the relatively low absorption of this light by melanin; it is the best choice when treating darker skin types.  Additionally, it provides the ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin.

ClearScan YAG is FDA cleared for permanent hair reduction and treating vein and vascular conditions:

Permanent Hair Reduction – Removal of unwanted hair or permanent hair reduction through selective targeting of melanin in hair follicles and for the treatment of pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB).

Yag Laser – Veins

The Yag Laser eliminates undesired small red blood vessels or blood moles from all parts of the body. The laser generates a pulse of light directed through a small, cooled hand-piece gently applied to the vein. Heat is directed at the blood vessel without damaging the surrounding tissue and skin. The destroyed blood vessels are gradually reabsorbed by the body in a natural cleansing process over the next 4-6 weeks. There is minimal discomfort, downtime or risk.

ClearScan YAG is FDA cleared for permanent hair reduction and treating vein and vascular conditions:

Vein and Vascular – Benign vascular lesions, port wine stains, hemangiomas, telangiectasia, rosacea, venous lake, leg veins and spider veins.
