Here are a few of the options Radiance Skin Therapy & Laser Center in Madison offers for treating acne:

M22™ Universal IPL

M22™ is an in-office treatment that treats inflamed acne with a gentle, minimal downtime approach.  M22™ addresses both acne bacteria as well as pigmentation and redness often associated with acne.  This is a fast “lunch time” treatment with less side effects than most prescribed acne medications.  Often a series of 5-6 treatments is suggested for optimal results.

LED Light Therapy

LED Light Therapy is an in-office treatment that is FDA-approved, completely non-invasive, and painless treatment with no downtime. There are different LED Light options for different skin concerns. These options (blue, red, and a combination of the two) can help kill the acne-causing bacteria in the skin, reduce breakouts, calm inflammation, and more. Often a series is suggested for optimal results. Go to our LED Light Therapy page for more information.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are effective for acne clients because they can reduce inflammation in the skin, destroy acne causing bacteria, and clear out pores to prevent future breakouts. Exfoliation in this manner can also help to speed up the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) caused by breakouts. Typically a series of four to six superficial chemical peels spaced two to four weeks apart can help get acne under control. Maintenance treatments can be anywhere from four to eight weeks apart. Additionally, LED Light Therapy can be done in conjunction with Chemical Peels. Click to go to our Chemical Peel page for more information.

Hydrafacial is the only hydra-dermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection simultaneously, resulting in clearer more beautiful skin with no discomfort or downtown. This effective treatment delivers the results of microdermabrasion yet is soothing, moisturizing, and safe for any skin type. Click to go to our HydraFacial page for more information.

Skin Supplements

Your skin is the largest organ of the body. In order to maintain the health and integrity of your skin, it is critical that you take care of it, not only from the outside, but from the inside as well. Providing your skin with the right sort of nutrition can affect just as much change as topical treatments. Pairing the right supplements for your skin can help you to see faster and more lasting results! Radiance carries a few great options of Vitamin A, Skin Omegas, and Skin Accumax. Once we get to know you and your skin, we can help you know which is going to be most appropriate for your skin’s needs.

Your skin loves Vitamin A, especially if you have acne, are prone to acne, or have oily skin with the occasional breakout. Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant that helps reduce sebum production, encourages healthy cell production and growth, and can strengthen your skin’s firm and healthy tissue.

Many have had success pairing Vitamin A with the Skin Omegas. Omega 3 fatty acids are known as the “good fat” and are a vital part of a balanced diet. They can also enhance your skin treatment results and calm the inflammation caused by acne. Omega 3 plays a crucial role in the health of your skin. All skin types can benefit from Omega 3, including dry, sensitive, and acneic skin. Omega-3 also helps to increase hydration and overall smoothness.

Skin Accumax contains a synergistic combination of vitamins and plant nutrients which address the underlying factors of problem skin. This unique combination of ingredients helps to improve skin texture and clarity.
