Radiance Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels at Radiance Skin Therapy & Laser Center in Madison, WI, act as an exercise for the skin! We customize our chemical peels and active product blends to your skins needs. Our skin often changes with age, the season, stess and more. We want to get to know you and your skin, help you with your skin goals and help you maintain your skin health!
Because of the aging process and environmental stressors, our cells tend to slow down and become sluggish. Having a chemical peel performed on a regular basis will help to bring youth back to your skin and cells. Chemical Peels are one of the best ways to maintain the health of the skin when performed regularly. They are also wonderful to help with different concerns such as dryness, uneven skin tone, skin texture, fine lines, congested pores, dullness, acne, and more! Some of the incredible benefits of chemical peels include:
- Lightened pigmentation
- Reduction in fine lines
- Increased skin hydration
- Strengthen the epidermis (the outer layer of your skin)
- Bring back that healthy glow
There are different levels of peels. At Radiance Skin Therapy & Laser Center, we offer both medium depth chemical peels and superficial chemical peels (also known as “exfoliations”).
We often recommend medium depth peels be done one to two times per year for more noticeable change with acne scarring, pigment irregularities, and improving fine lines. Minimal downtime with medium depth peels can occur such as pinkness to the skin, tightness, and sloughing or flaking skin. For best results, we recommend that you use medical grade skincare for 6-8 weeks before doing a medium depth chemical peel. Peels are incredibly effective when combined with medical grade products to help aging skin conditions.
Superficial chemical peels (or exfoliations) typically have no downtime. Using medical grade skincare prior to an exfoliation is not necessary but is preferable. Results are best when the procedure is done regularly and on an ongoing basis, generally every 6-8 weeks. Exfoliations are also a very useful tool to help acne patients maintain a more clear complexion.
It is best to speak with your Aesthetician to decide the best treatment plan for your skin and to help you reach your goals.
