Some of the first signs of aging we tend to notice on our face are known as dynamic wrinkles, which are associated with facial muscle movements and are visible when our faces are animated during expressions. It Softens Glabellar Lines
Just like the other neuromodulators, Daxxify™ contains botulinum toxin as its primary active ingredient. This allows it to reduce the appearance of motion-related wrinkles that develop in the upper third of the face. Daxxify™ is specifically approved for treating moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines), which are vertical creases that form between the eyebrows. Just like BOTOX® and similar neurotoxins, Daxxify™ blocks nerve signals to the muscles to prevent them from contracting.
It Does Not Contain Human or Animal Products
Daxxify™ is considered appropriate for vegans, and patients may be less likely to develop a “resistance” to it, because it does not contain human serum albumin, associated proteins, or animal-based products.
It Provides Lasting Results
Perhaps the biggest advantage of Daxxify™ is the fact that its results last the longest out of all the neuromodulators currently available on the market. Traditional wrinkle relaxers have a duration of three to four months, but the results from Daxxify™ can last for up to six months on average—or as many as nine months in some patients.
